Black brindle male with white flash on chest. Stood alone in this class today. Nice headshape, well developed for age and of good proportions. Neat ears, dark round eye and correct bite. Good width of muzzle but would prefer a slightly thinner lip. Straight front, with enough bone and tidy feet. Good length of neck, correct shoulder angulations and good rib. Short coupled with a well angulated backend. Tail set on well, but carried high on the move. Moved out and handled well. BPD well done

Junior Dog (3, 1abs)

1st 201, Hammond’s Hammystaff Red Revenge

Red with a white chest and black mask. Well developed for his age with great pigmentation. An attractive masculine head of good proportions. Nice round dark eyes, correct ear placement and he used all of this to his advantage with a wicked expression . Short neck leading to well laid shoulders which flowed nicely to his well boned straight front and tidy feet. Well angulated and muscular hindquarters. Correct topline which he also kept on the move with good tail carriage. This youngster has good movement when he allows himself to settle; a work in progress for his handler I imagine! RBD Well Done

2nd Clark & Ortizo’s Powerpack Lachlan Dorin

Black brindle with white on chest. A lovely standard dog with a well proportioned and clean head shape, correct bite, neat ears and dark, round eye. Short neck, which flowed nicely into well laid shoulders. Straight front with enough bone, adequate rib and short coupled. Nicely maturing back end with correct bend of stifle. Moved and handled well, just lacked the animation that I found in my 1st place.

Red with white, a well balanced standard dog. Head of correct proportions with round dark eyes, clean foreface and correct bite. Short neck, leading to well laid shoulders, wide, well boned and straight front with tidy feet. Good rib, short coupled and with a well angulated and muscled back end. Moved out well with good tail carriage, once he settled.

Top sized black brindle. Masculine head of good proportions, dark round eyes, clean foreface, housing big teeth and correct bite finished with a strong underjaw. Well boned, straight front and tidy feet. Short neck, good rib and short coupled. Correct depth of brisket with a good underline, leading into a well muscled, correctly angulated back end. Level topline which was held on the move. Moved out well, once settled. Just lacked a little animation in the BOB challenge. BD BOS in Breed, well done

1st Hands & Freeman’s Skyestaff She Conquered

Black brindle, feminine bitch that is beautifully balanced. For one so young she has a ring presence. Well proportioned head, neat ears, dark round eyes, clean foreface and correct bite. Short neck, well laid shoulders and nice depth of brisket. Straight front and tidy feet. In lovely condition, enough rib, short coupled and clean underline, leading to a well angulated back end. Level topline, which was held on the move. To complete this picture I would prefer better tail carriage, but this puppy bitch is full of beans and although she has her eye on the job in hand her mind is jumping around the ring! The handler and bitch worked as a team which adds that extra special something BPB BPIB and TPG4 well done

Black brindle youngster full of life. Attractive head with dark round eye, clean foreface and correct bite. Short neck leading to correctly angulated shoulders and enough depth of brisket for age. Straight well boned front and neat feet. Good rib, short coupled and well angulated back end. When settled she moved well with correct tail carriage.

Brindle and White. Attractive well proportioned head with a beautiful expression. Round dark eyes, neat ears, clean foreface and good underjaw. Correct bite with large teeth. Short neck, well angulated shoulders leading to a well boned straight front and tidy feet. Well ribbed, level topline and well angulated rear quarters. In lovely condition. She moved out well when moved at a faster pace and was handled well. Very close decision for BB but just preferred the more compact outline of the Open Bitch. RBB well done

2nd Hands & Freeman’s Gazstaff’s Black Velvet at Skyestaff

Black brindle and white. Well proportioned head with neat ears. Round dark eye, clean foreface and correct bite. A little longer in the neck than I would prefer, leading to well laid and muscled shoulders. Good depth of brisket, well boned, straight front and neat feet. Nice rib, short coupled, well developed and angulated at the rear. Moved out well and handled expertly.

Used her expression well throughout the class. Short neck, well laid shoulders leading to a well boned, straight front with neat feet. Good rib, short coupled and a well angulated and muscled back end. Moved well with a level topline and correct tail carriage. BB BOB well done

Dark brindle presented in excellent condition. Attractive well proportioned head with neat ears and dark round eye. Short neck, well laid shoulders, straight front and tidy feet. Good rib, short coupled, smooth underline, well muscled and angulated rear. Moved out well holding a level topline.

3rd 219 Wilson’s Ch Bullhawk Jessie Jay at Northstaff

At 9 years old this veteran champion bitch deserved a mention here. Black brindle with white chest. Despite her age this bitch did not look out of place in this class of youngsters. Stood majestically and at one with her handler she looked fab. Moved around the ring with ease and enthusiasm. A pleasure, and honour to judge her. Thank you.
