Judge Sian Hammond

My sincere thanks to the Society for the invitation to Judge this very prestigious and well run Terrier Show. The day was superbly organised, and my congratulations to the dedicated team of Committee and helpers who ensured a smoothly executed show. My appreciation also goes to the people who exhibited under me today, I sincerely appreciate every entry.

Puppy Dog 4/1
1st Mrs R Jordan Dazmarnic Know Wot I Mean
Topsize, 11 month old red/fawn dog pup. Good pigmentation enhancing a very attractive expression, on a beautifully shaped head. Round, dark eyes, set well apart, and neat ears all add to the picture. Correct bite housed within a short, blunt muzzle. He has enough bone, enough width and good straight limbs. His ribcage is developing, and he carried his tail correctly on the move. He has plenty of character, a bit of a handful for his Lady owner, but he is worth the effort. My Best Puppy in Breed today.

Junior Dog 3/1
1st Mr & Mrs Partington Manark Bronzes Star
Black brindle, standard sized dog with a masculine head. Small neat ears which enhance his expression. Short, blunt muzzle, and correct bite. Well boned with a good, well sprung rib cage. Front ok, his topline, rear angulation and movement were all good. Very well handled.
2nd Coopers Kirniastaff The Black Spot

Novice Dog 3/1
1st Mr P Davis Tegumen The World Is Yours
Topsize black brindle dog with a really gorgeous head, captivating expression with neat ears, beautiful round eyes, and a strong muzzle. He has a correct bite. His rear quarters were good, his topline was good and he held his tail well on the move. His young handler did a great job, well done, keep it up.
2nd Cooper Kirniastaff The Black Spot

Post Grad Dog 7/2
1st Mr & Mrs Lewis Biggleswick Splash Of Ginge
Standard sized red dog in stunning condition. This dog ticked almost all of my boxes. Great front, width between forelegs, depth to the brisket, muscled shoulders without being overdone, great bone, good pasterns, and neat feet. His head is very nice, well defined stop without exaggeration, good cheek muscles, dark eye and correct bite, with neat little ears. His neck is rather short, and very powerful and flows into well made shoulder angulation. He holds his topline at all times, and his ribcage is well sprung and shapely. His coupling is correct, his rear quarter are powerful and when he moved, he moved well, carrying his tail correctly.  I will expect to see this dog at the top next year. He took my Best Of Breed award based on the strength of his front and brisket. Very well done, and loads of luck with him. He is definitely worth every effort to continue to improve his performance in the ring.

Open Dog 7/3
1st Grove Ch Manark Murphys Law
Smack on standard sized black brindle dog who shows like a superstar and gleams with condition. A flashy dog, with a very smart, typical head, with big dark round eyes, and good stop and a blunt muzzle. Bite correct. His front is as straight as they come and his body is well shaped. He moved well, and was handled to perfection. A worthy champion indeed.

Very pretty 8 month old, black brindle bitch. Neat attractive head, clean with a sweet expression, correct bite, dark eyes, and tidy ears. Good straight front, good depth to her body for age and correct amount of bone to balance. Nice rib, moved very well indeed which won her this class.

Junior Bitch 3/0
1st Cartwright Zakstaff Winterfell
Beautiful headed black brindle bitch at smaller end of scale. Super expression, dark round eyes, neat ears, defined stop, short muzzle and correct bite. She has a powerful front for a little girl and is well boned and ribbed. She is close coupled, and she appealed in this class by virtue of her correct rear construction with short, straight hocks.
