My thanks go to the committee of the west midland terrier society for inviting me to judge our great breed at this fantastic open show, big thankyou also to my ring stewards who kept everything in order for me throughout.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to all exhibitors that took the time to enter their beloved dogs for me to assess, it was my honour to do so.

PuppyDog;

1st,MRS J & MR K LEWIS’ KARJAYDAN THE BARBARIAN lovely young red dog with nice head shape, neat ears with dark round eyes, good length of muzzle with clean lips. Straight front with well muscled shoulders for his age, well sprung rib and well muscled rear with good bend of stifle, and despite giving his handler a bit of a hard time I was pleased to award BPD on the day.

2nd MR L THORLEY’S CREWESTAFF HALF BLUD PRINCE B/BR dog that came a close second to 1st, a compact dog with a clean head shape, neat ears, slightly less in the muzzle than 1st but also had a straight front with decent bone, topline was ok on the move with strong hind quarters, handled really well by his handler.

Junior Dog;

1st,MRS C Y & MR J S HOWARD’S MATRIXSTAFFS KNIGHT STAR, B/BR dog with the nicest of expressions, with shoulders and bone to spare, neat feet, topline held on the move with good bend of stifle, handled well.

2nd MR S GREEN’S SIKAISTAFF BLACK BARREL, BL/BR dog, with nice head shape, with a short well muscled neck, plenty of bone, good spring of rib and well muscled rear.

Novice Dog

1st KIRK, ROCHELLE, ROCHELLE & WALTON’S KIRSTAFF GOD OF THUNDER, alone in his class, this red boy stood with a nice head shape and neat well placed ears, dark round eyes and correct bite, with well placed shoulders leading on to a well angulated rear with good bend of stifle.

Post Graduate Dog

1st MRS S & MISS N CLARK’S ROWELLSTAFF EASY TIGER, brindle boy who was full of beans, with nice head shape, good length of muzzle and correct bite, strong underjaw, well muscled shoulders and good spring of rib, powerful back end with good bend of stifle, moved and handled well.

2nd MR D COBB’S TILLCAR FIRE COLLECTIVE, B/BR boy with neat rose ears, dark eyes and broad skull, plenty of bone and strong hind quarters, moved well.

Limit Dog

1st MRS K &MISSJ & MR S WILSON’S NORTHSTAFF NIGHTMARE, Compact classy B/BR boy who stood out for me today, bang standard with plenty of breed type, beautiful head shape with lovely expression, clean lipped with a scissor bite leading onto well placed muscular shoulders with enough bone and width of front and neat well padded feet, good spring of rib and short coupled, muscular back end with good bend of stifle, good topline and was shown in top condition. Handled well and happy to award him Best Dog on the day. Well done.

2nd MR C &MRS R ILES’ DILIRYSTAFF CALYPSO JACK, red and white top sized dog with impressive head size, neat ears and strong underjaw. Muscular front with bags of bone, powerful rear and enough bend of stifle.

Open Dog

1st MR P T & MRS E A STANWAY’S WAYSTAFF STRIKES MAYHEM, red and white pied boy of standard size, with a nice head shape and correct muzzle length, dark round eyes clean lips and correct bite. He has a nice straight front with width and depth of brisket, good bone and neat, well padded feet. Good spring of rib with a level topline and well muscled hind quarters and good bend of stifle. Happy to award him RBD.

2nd MRS J & MR K LEWIS’ CH BIGGLESWICK SPLASH OF GINGE, this boy is not showing his age, strong all over with a great head shape and lovely expression, neat ears and dark round eyes, plenty of bone and well placed shoulders, powerful rear and good bend of stifle, could of easily swapped with 1

Puppy bitch

1st A&D &G&K JONES’ ROUGESTAFF RED VELVET, lovely young red/white bitch of standard size, feminine head with tidy ears, good width of front and bone to spare, short in the back good bend of stifle, still plenty of maturing to do but should have a bright future.

2nd MR D & MR N GUTIERREZ GONZALEZ & HIRST’S DRINGSHAW SUGAR MOON, red and white pied bitch top sized for her age with broad skull and good underjaw, enough bone, well muscled rear and correct tail set.

Junior Bitch

1st MR P T & MRS E A STANWAY’S NORTHPOINTS DRESSED FOR SUCCESS AT WAYSTAFF (IMP NLD) standout bitch for me on the day, beautiful headed bitch that oozed class, correct muzzle length with a dark mask, lovely dark eyes with neat lips and good underjaw, well placed shoulders show off her lovely straight front with plenty of width and neat tight feet. Good spring of rib with level topline and powerful hind quarters, turned out in fit hard condition and handled to perfection. I think this bitch has a bright future and wouldn’t of looked out of place in a strong open class today. happy to award her BB and BOS

2nd MR D & MRS M SOUTHALL’S FALLEN DARK ANGEL, B/BR bitch with decent head shape, well muscled shoulders, level topline with good bend of stifle, handled well.

Novice Bitch

1st MRS T &MR J MILLS’ BLUE BOY WINNER AT MILARKE BULL, nice standard size Blue bitch with broad skull and good muzzle length, short neck with well muscled shoulders, well sprung rib and decent bend of stifle.

2nd MISS G CLEWS’ ANVILCHAIN BLITZ OF DUDLEY, Bl/B bitch with good head shape, dark eyes and clean lips, good depth of brisket and level topline.

Post Graduate Bitch

1st MR T & MRS C PLUMSTEAD’S KAMARISTAFFS ROYAL GEM AT JAZOSTAFF JW, nice Bl/b bitch with plenty of substance, deep skull with neat well placed ears, powerful front with well laid shoulders and tight neat feet. Well sprung rib and a powerful back end to suit the front. Moved and handled well.

2nd MR R & MISS M FOWELL & MORRIS’ ROWELLSTAFF TIGER EYES, Br bitch with good head shape, well placed ears and correct muzzle length, enough bone and depth of brisket. Well muscled hind quarters and good bend of stifle.

Limit Bitch

1st MISS D HERON’S DILIRYSTAFF EURPHORIA, br bitch with good head shape and dark eyes, neat feet and enough width to front, muscular rear and decent bend of stifle. Handled well.

2nd MR L THORLEY’S CREWESTAFF BONNIE LASS, a standard sized bl/b bitch with a lovely head shape with neat ears, wide front and well muscled body, shown in fit condition.

Open Bitch

1st MRS M A & MR GG TURLEY’S CH LOYALSTAFF BELLA BAMBINA AT EASTREET, beautiful headed bitch with lovely rose ears, good muzzle length and expression, short well muscled neck and well laid shoulders, enough bone and neat feet. Good spring of rib and strong back end, this bitch just missed top honours today in the final line up and could of easily swapped with BB on another day, happy to award her RBB.

2nd MR W & MRS K JACKSON’S JACKABYTE NEMISIS, another quality bitch in this class, lovely head shape with neat ears and nice expression, straight front, neat feet and muscular shoulders. Close coupled with a decent rear and bend of stifle.
