PARSON RUSSELL TERRIERS I would like to thank the society for inviting me to judge PRTs at their show and to the exhibitors for their entry and for accepting their placings in good grace, I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment, I was spoilt for choice such was the quality. All dogs were spannable and all mouths correct. Puppy (4/2) 1st Bigland’s Heythrop Toptag, 9 month old smart dog that is good for size. Wedge shaped head of good proportions with neat ears and good pigment. Straight in front with tight fitting elbows. Lovely neat feet. Well balanced with correct top line and slight rise over the loin. Correct tailset, presented in good condition. Very straight coming and going, good reach and drive. A very sound mover. BPIB. 2nd Newports Digaden Matchmaker, 7 month old bitch. I really liked this young bitch for her type and balance. Beautiful head with correct eye and neat ears. Lovely expression. Good pigment. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm. Nice tight fitting elbows with lovely neat feet. Good ribbing and correct top line with slight rise over the loin. Correct tailset. Well angulated behind with good turn of stifle and neat hocks. Super harsh coat. Promising young pup though sadly she was unsettled on the move today. Junior (4/1) 1st Newport’s Digaden Run With The Pack, 8 month old bitch. Lovely head and correct eye, clean neck flowing into well laid shoulder. Lovely neat feet. Good top line with slight rise over the loin. Good hind angulation and turn of stifle. Lovely neat hocks. Moved well. Presented in good condition. Completed a trio of really promising puppies. Post Graduate (2/1) Hobson’s Partridgdale Flynn, nice 18 month old dog. Beautiful masculine wedge shaped head with good proportions. Loved his expression. Correct eye and ear with good pigment. Well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm. Tight fitting elbows with lovely neat feet. Good ribbing. Well angulated hind quarters and good turn of stifle, nice neat hocks. Well balanced. Lovely sound mover. Superb harsh coat, presented very well. Thoroughly considered for higher honours. Open (8/6) This was a very tough class with some lovely examples of the breed present. 1st Buckley’s Gonetoground High’n Mighty, 2 year old bitch. I adored this beautiful bitch for her type and balance. Beautiful feminine wedge shaped head with good proportions. Gorgeous expression with good eye and correct ear. Correct pigmentation. Super reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and good return of upper arm. Standing on lovely tight and neat feet. Good spring of rib. Correct top line with slight rise over the loin. Correct tailset. Well angulated hindquarters with good turn of stifle. Well let down hocks. Moved with good reach and drive. A pleasure to award her the class over some top quality exhibits BOB. 2nd Hobson’s Alncroft Isle See, 8 year old bitch who doesn’t show her age. Another beautiful bitch of lovely type who is good for size. Lovely feminine wedge shaped head with correct eye and ear, good pigment. Gorgeous expression. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulder, standing on lovely neat feet. Correct top line with slight rise over the loin and correct tailset. Well angulated hindquarters with good turn of stifle and well let down neat hocks. Moved with good reach and drive. Lovely harsh coat in good condition. RBOB. 3rd Bigland’s Heythrop Tangletop, this was another lovely bitch with a feminine wedge shaped head. Well balanced of a lovely type and good size. However she missed out on higher honours as she wasn’t quite as settled on the move.
