BEST OF BREED Heythrop Taggart Owned by Mr and Mrs Bigland |
Firstly, I would like to say thank you to all
exhibits that entered under me, and to my stewards today. It was a
pleasure to have this chance. I think it is important to remember with
both breeds I judged today, they were first bred to work to ground and
therefore size and movement (and so construction) need to be carefully
considered, especially with Jack Russell's as the breed develops. Parson Russell Terrier: J (2,1) 1 Bigland's Heythrop
Task Master; Friendly dog, once settled had good movement, taller and
build then BOB in the end but still in moderate proportions, good rise
over loin, RBOB. PG (2,0) 1 Bigland's Heythrop Taggert; higher tail set,
straight movement which is key, great wedge-shaped head and portions,
very workman like, spannable, good jacket, and lovely outline, BOB. 2
Hooley's Hoolmark Jonny Guitar; another good dog, good portions, easily
spanned preferred the movement of 1st. O (2,1) 1 Bigland's Ch Ardencote
Tutor with Heythop; Good head and tail set A dog I have seen in the past
that has shown himself better light, I felt he was lacking today.
However, when he did show himself off, you could see why he has his
champion title. Rebecca Blair (Tamesiseatum
