West Midland Terrier Open Show 28th November - Judge Sarah Broadberry
Thank you so much for the fabulous entry and such a lovely, hospitable show. I was very pleased with my exhibits in terms of quality and quantity.  I was also happy to stay to see my BoB short listed in the group.

Junior (8,3)

1 Pacolito American Edition A handy size t/w bitch, easily spannable.  Well balanced on the move, holding her topline well.  A good return of shoulder with well sprung feet.  Good dentition. A dense, harsh coat.     BPIB

2 Ardencote Taber A t/w dog, on his toes, a true show man.  His movement did not demonstrate the reach and drive of one, but well balanced.  A strong shoulder and well angulated behind, I just preferred the top line of 1.

3 Ruby Red of Degla Another quality exhibit, smaller than 1 and 2 and less settled on the move.  Easily spannable and correct for size.

Postgraduate (6, 2)

1 Vadbakkens Liquorice to Pacolito (Imp Nor) A happy b/w dog.  The best mover in the class, keeping his top line on the move.  Good head proportions laid on to a good shoulder, though I would prefer a fraction more neck.  Compact feet with firm pads. More bone than 2 and 3, but still a puppy with more growing ahead of him.

2 Ardencote Triintimes Another good exhibit, a t/w bitch.  1 won out on movement and I preferred the slightly higher tail set of 1, but nevertheless another  good example of the breed.  Harsh coat and pelt.  Less bone that 1, but a good shoulder and easily spannable.  Just let down by unsettled movement but could easily swap places on another day.

3 Ardencote Tutor with Heythrop A t/w puppy dog, already well developed for size.  Good head and an excellent, smooth, harsh coat.  His movement was less tight than 1 and 2, but reflects his age.  Good tail set and angles.

Open (10, 6)

1 Ch Pacolito Highly Prized at Dragonmoor BOB The best mover of the day with good reach and drive, reflecting his well-balanced construction.  Good head shape, with neat, well placed ears and sound dentition.  Easily spannable.  A harsh coat, well presented.

2 Sunrock & Russell Yards Made in America (Imp USA) RBOB  A smart B/W dog who moved well. A well-proportioned head set on clean, well set shoulders and good hind limb angulation.  I would prefer slightly more rise over the loin and he is carrying a fraction too much condition in my opinion, but very worthy of RBOB.

3 Cleeve Hill Kasper All white dog.  Up to size and another ground-covering mover.  In good condition and well handled.  I just preferred the proportions to of 1 and 2 in order to present a more balanced picture.
