I would like to thank the officers and committee for their invitation to judge at the show.   The hospitality received was much appreciated, and the day was one I really enjoyed.  It was lovely to see such a good entry for the show as a whole, my thanks to my two capable stewards, who kept things moving along nicely. Thanks also to the exhibitors who did me the honour and privilege of going over their dogs and accepting my decisions in a sporting manner.  All exhibits were of good quality and fit for purpose. As to be expected at this time of year, coats were at various stages.   I was delighted with my entry.

1st Newport Digaden Tip Top 9 mth who caught my eye on entering the ring and didn’t disappoint. Who has a lovely feminine head, moderately broad skull, with a nice dark eye and keen expression, Good length of neck, lovely straight front with good bone. Nice harsh broken coat with thick pelt. Strong in loin with good rear angulations, enabling her to move with a lovely free striding movement. BPIB BPIS4

2nd Chaffe Bourbon Beatific Beast (imp cze) at just 6 mths this dog was unlucky to meet 1st today, nice wedge shaped head, flat skull with a strong jaw and good big teeth. Good reach of neck and good in rib. Good coat and pelt. Moved well for one so young, another promising pup.

2nd Bowden Paringer Knock on Wood in Chellowside 15 mth old dog another of correct size with pleasing head, good through neck and lay of shoulder, correct coat and pelt, moved well with a good ground covering stride.

1st Newport Digaden Just So JW 3 yr old bitch good for size, type and overall balance, good through head, eyes and ears. Excellent top line & tail set, good to span and correct coat, just the right amount of hind angulation which enabled her to move out well with drive from the rear.

2nd Foster & Fuller Hoolmark Paleface 2 yr, pleasing head and expression on this dog, who had a lovely dark eye, good in shoulder and rib, good top line and straight well set tail, well muscled hindquarters, looked good in good profile moved soundly.
