What a lovely terrier show, huge thanks to the club for their invitation to judge Australian terriers and Irish Terriers. Also thank you to the owners for bringing their dogs for me to judge, with no absentees. I enjoyed the day.

IRISH TERIER.

Puppy. (2)

1. Bradley’s Pinleygreen Irish Star for Montelle. What a star and she knows it. 9 month old who was alert, smart and balanced all round. Nice length of skull, dark eye and good expression. Good length of neck and strong and elegant to give the proud head carriage. Strong hindquarters, dense coat of good colour. Showed and moved very well today. BP Happy to see her win Reserve best Puppy in Show. Well deserved.

2. Thomas and Print’s Bilarny Hotcross Bun. 10month old male with a nicely balanced skull, dark eye and ears on top of head. Nice length of neck, well set shoulders but didn’t show the presence and picture of 1.

Junior(1)

1. Thomas and Print’s Bilarney Hotcross Bun. As above.

Post Graduate (1)

1. Bradshaw’s Holbam Midsummer Sprite. Nice young girl with a lovely head and ears, good length of neck leading to good layback of shoulder and strong front quarters. Good for bone and substance but still feminine. Good strong muscular hindquarters with nice bend of stifle and well let down hocks.

Open. (7)

What a superb class to judge with a tough choice between the first three bitches for me today.

1. Lee’s Ivyblue Crinkles. Lovely girl who showed her socks off today, alert and ready for action and that won her the class. Good feminine head with neat ears and nice dark eye, good neck. Nice body and angulation ending with a good tail set. Showed and moved well. BOB

2. Bentley’s Ch Norakim Tango of Newguild. Great head and nice dark eye. Good body and substance with nice length of ribs. Strong hindquarters with good tail set, shown to advantage on the move. Unfortunately, she was a little unhappy at times standing. RBOB
