Irish Terrier
Puppy (3:1)
1st Bamsey’s Holbam Shamrock Kevin
Smart young chap who is developing well and presents a balanced racy outline. Head is long and lean with well set ears, strength to foreface and inquisitive expression. Clean neck fitting well into the shoulders. Body is well proportioned and developing well for his age. Quarters developing and with the desired amount of angulation. Tail well set on and carried gaily. Good carriage on the move and covers the ground in profile, just needs to tighten a little in front action as he should at this age.
2nd McConnell’s Holbam Shamrock Connie
Litter sister to Kevin and many of the same qualities. Topline not as firm at this stage. Feminine and well proportioned head with well set on ears. Body has depth and ribs well back, tail set on high and carried well. Movement was positive and had good driving action.
Junior (3)
1st Thomas’ Sunnystone Bright Light at Montelle
Feminine with the right amount of substance, presenting a typical outline and shape. Long head with correct eye and well placed ears. Good strength to the foreface. Clean through the neck and well placed shoulder. Legs well under and straight when viewed from the front. Stands on very good legs and feet. Depth to her forechest and with the correct length of body. Quarters developed and with a moderate bend to her stifles. Harsh jacket and well presented. Still young and just needs to tighten a little in elbow on the move, covered the ground in an easy profile action. RBOB
2nd Davidson’s Saredon Miss Davidson
Very appealing head and expression, well proportioned with well placed ears which were used to advantage. Clean neck which led neatly into a good front assembly. Depth to forechest and decent spring to rib. Topline still needing to firm a little on the move. Moderate angulation to the rear and well set on tail. In harsh jacket and well presented.
3rd Case’s Slaneyfinn No Irish Need Apply
Post Graduate (4)
1st Ruffles’ Holbam Celtic Erin
Feminine throughout with the right amount of substance, just carrying a little too much weight today for my taste. Head is well proportioned with good length, clean through the cheeks and good strength to foreface. Good reach of neck which fitted well into shoulders. Depth to the forechest and ribs well back being moderately sprung. Firm loin and well set on tail. Rear is well muscled and with a gentle sweep to the stifle. Moved out well in a true action.
2nd McConnell’s Feegarron Star
Feminine bitch with a very appealing expression framed by super ears which were used to advantage. Would like a little more length to foreface for my taste. Muscular neck and well placed shoulders. Carrying a little weight over the shoulder today and not as positive in front action as Erin. Good depth to forechest and ribs well back to a firm loin. Tail well set on and good finish to the croup. Stifles moderately bent and well muscled rear. Harsh close fitting jacket which was very well presented.
3rd Thomas & Print’s Bilarny Edna Cotton Socks.
Open (4)
1st Anderson’s Ch Ros Michelin at Kerrykeel
A really smart chap, on his toes and full of attitude. Masculine throughout without any hint of coarseness. Head has the correct length and is clean cut with just the right amount of chiselling. Expressive eyes and well placed ears which added to the appeal of his expression. Clean through the neck and well placed shoulders, good upper arm and straight front. Good depth to forechest and ribs well back to a firm loin. Topline held throughout and correct tailset and carriage. Quarters were well muscled with a moderate bend to his stifles. Super coat and presentation and put down in good order. On the move he has accurate footfall and covered the ground in an easy manner. Best of Breed.
2nd Simons’ Saredon Red Berry
Another smart chap who presents a clean and balanced outline. Head has good length, well placed ears, slightly cheekier than Ros with good strength to the underjaw. Strong and clean in neck, good front assembly, depth to the forechest and straight legs with neat feet. Body well proportioned with ribs well back and a firm loin. Decent tail set and moderately bent stifles. Harsh jacket and in good muscular condition. Moved true on the out and back.
3rd McConnell’s Tootrock Arcturus
