I would to thank the committee of West Midland Terrier Society for giving me the opportunity to judge Bull Terriers and Miniature Bull Terriers at their November Open Show. Also I would like to thank all the exhibiters that entered their dogs under me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at a very well run show. Venue was great, with plenty of space and large show rings.

BULL TERRIERS

Class 18. JUNIOR

1st (45) MIINROC ONLY THE BRAVE (Miss F. Mills) – 12 months old red and white dog presented in excellent condition. Very good length of head, lovely profile and good fill. Correct ear placement and keen expression. Mouth is just off. He has very strong bone, straight front, well laid shoulders, short back, cat-like feet and correct tail set. Moved parallel coming and going but lacks a bit in drive. Needs more time to mature. Expertly shown by his handler.

Class 19. POST GRADUATE

1st (43) BILBOEN ANGELS KISS (Mr J. & Miss S Kocaba & White) – Typy, well-marked 20 months old brindle and white bitch. Beautiful head with excellent profile, good fill and marked roman finish. Scissor bite except one incisor out and one in-standing canine. Lovely neck, good shoulders, straight front, short back and cat-like feet. Moved parallel and with drive. Well presented and shown. Reserve Best of Breed

2nd (40) SPARTIATE KING LEONIDAS (Mr D. & Mrs S. Hackett) – 2.5 years old white dog, what a powerhouse. He’s got bags of bone and

substance, head has good length but lacks in profile and fill. Sadly ears are quite big and one is soft which spoils the expression. Mouth just off. Front is straight, shoulders are well laid, back could be a touch shorter, tidy feet and correct tail set. Moved parallel coming & going with good drive. Expertly presented and shown.

Class 20. OPEN

1st (44) UKUSA VEGAS AT DITON (Mr A.J. & Mrs D.B. McCann) – Quality white bitch with ear mark which was presented in excellent condition. She has got a beautiful head with excellent profile and fill. Small eyes and good ears giving a keen expression. Minor mouth fault. Front is straight, very good bone for her size, lovely neck, good shoulders, short back, cat-like feet, excellent bent of stifle. Moved well both ways. Shown to perfection. To be critical tail set is a bit high, nevertheless she is a beautiful bitch which I was honoured to award Best of Breed to.
