Veteran Stakes Lovely veterans well able to hold their own and a credit to their owners showing devotion and care with well-loved companions a pleasure to judge, my thanks to the ringside for their applause as they took their turn round the ring. (3) 1st Williamson’s CH Montelle Mi’Lady JW shCM, this beautiful Irish Terrier lady belied her 12 yrs, brought in cracking form from head to body, still that length to head with no wrinkles and foreface delicately chiselled, scissor bite, shoulders laid back with depth in chest not too wide, well ribbed into back quarters that still had plenty of muscle, and couldn’t she still move taking the ring in her stride with no hesitation a pleasure to watch. 2nd Harrison’s Jenkir Thor, lovely solid strong 7yr Min/Bull Terrier lad full of himself and showing his head off, unlucky to meet one, good head well filled with depth to underjaw, strong teeth with scissor bite, used his ears and kept his eye on the judge, lovely strong bone, without being coarse with substance to match, well rounded body no hint of fat in lovely condition moved free and easy covering the ground without effort. 3rd Cooper’s Tessy Blazing Star, almost 8yrs young S.B.T., nice skull shape with cheek muscles to match and good stop, strong neck into shoulders with plenty between the legs with strength in bone, just right for substance in at the loins, still showing strength of muscle on the hind quarters, no problem on the move enjoying the day and showing to advantage. |
