West Midland Terrier Society – November 2019 I would like to take this opportunity to thank the West Midland Terrier Society for inviting me to judge this show today; I was very impressed with the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and very well organised reception that met me on my arrival. Many thanks also go to the Stewards who were very helpful and obliging and last, but not least, thank you to the Exhibitors for their wonderful entries; it was a great pleasure to go over some lovely dogs. Australian Terriers Puppy (3,1) 1st Nottingham & Dunbar’s Ruarokatiro Born To Run, 9 month old, red dog, with a lovely alert expression which was the deciding factor over (2) today. Balanced head with nice sized ears, correct eye, good mouth, lovely neck and shoulders. Nice tight feet. Well presented harsh coat. Moved around the ring with purpose, keeping his level top line. 2nd Millvalley’s True Blue, lovely puppy bitch, just a little younger than (1). Well presented black & tan. Nice head with dark eye and correct shape. Ears a little larger than (1) but this will change as her head matures. Good neck and shoulders, nice kitten like feet. Harsh coat with good texture. Went well. Open Bitch (1) 1st Nottingham & Dunbar’s CH Silhill Pops, this girl just oozes quality. Beautiful expression, correct ear placement, with a lovely shaped eye, good mouth, nice neck and shoulders, lovely topline and feet. She was positive in movement and tracked up well.
