West Midland Terrier Club Open Show 26 November 2022 My thanks to the officials and committee for inviting
me to judge Best in Show. The Club is becoming a well known society for
hosting a first class show, a tremendous entry proving there are still
plenty of terrier enthusiasts around and their support is very much
appreciated. I had two first class line ups for both Best in Show
and Best Puppy in Show and many in the line ups will feature higher on
another day. Best in show proved to be the dual CC winner Lakeland
Terrier JODEAN MARY ROSE, in beautiful coat and condition, moved
sound and true with a free action. Her head is well balanced, dark
eye, neat ear with a lovely neck and shoulders. Handled to make
the most of herself. Reserve Best in Show was the Miniature Bull Terrier,
RISIBULLY GIRLS ON FILM WITH FERGUSTAFF, a young tri bitch who has such
potential, strongly made head with good lines, correct mouth, muscular
neck and shoulder and a short well ribbed body. She too was sound on the
move and put in a great performance. In third spot was the Australian CH SILHILL SUPER
TROUPER a red in terrific form, enough coat of good texture and clear
colour. He has a lovely profile and maintains this on the move. The Manchester was in fourth place, KENTWONE LYRA AT
JANMARK, a bitch of lovely size and presents a clean outline. Her coat
was in beautiful condition with good demarcation of colour, lovely bone
and substance. Best Puppy in Show also provided good competition.
The winner was a Jack Russell Terrier JAEVA PAGE TURNER CHANDLIMORE,
still very much a youngster but plenty of confidence, typical in head,
dark eye , used her ears well, short coupled and such a good topline and
tailset. Outgoing on the move and covered the ground with ease. Reserve Best Puppy was another Lakeland JODEAN
DALLAS, young and immature but showed like a veteran, well textured
coat, lovely outline. Should have a good future. Puppy Group 3 was the Norfolk JAEVA PUZZLE PIECE
quite mature looking for her age and such a lovely shape, so well
balanced, quality head and eye well placed shoulders and another with a
good future ahead Puppy Group 4 and in no way disgraced PERISBLU MALI,
a Welsh Terrier who must have her title ahead of her, very well balanced
and so typically Welsh. Quality head lovely neck and shoulder, good
topline and well set tail. At the moment was more at ease on the floor
where she showed herself to advantage. In super coat and condition. Stuart Plane
